Alison Merkley was born and raised in the Brockville area and has over a decade of experience working with local government under a variety of capacities.  Her interest stemmed from a desire to give back to the community by making governments more approachable by strengthening relationships and communication efforts.

 

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs and Policy Management with a specialization in Developmental Studies from Carleton University, in addition to an Executive Diploma in Municipal Management and a diploma in Municipal Administration.  She continues to expand her skill set by seeking additional training opportunities to better serve her community.

 

Alison joined the Board of Directors in 2024 after successfully being named one of the Young Professional 40 Under 40 in 2023.
