Lesley Patry
Director (2025 - Present)
Lesley currently works remotely for Calian, an international company based out of Ottawa. She is the co-chair of the Young Professionals and Supporters Employee Resource Group (ERG) and has been organizing various mentorship and networking opportunities for other young professionals and their supporters, in the company.
Prior to her work at Calian, Lesley worked in the employment sector at the Employment + Education Centre for over 14 years helping job seekers get connected to employment and education. Eight of those years were spent upskilling adult job seekers needing to upgrade their computer skills to be competitive in the job market and the remainder of the time was spent as an employment coach with a large focus on coaching P&G employees transition their careers through the plant closure. She also spent a great deal of time on career exploration with clients through workshop facilitation and one on one coaching.
Lesley is a Certified Career Strategist and a Certified Resume Strategist, with certifications obtained though Career Professionals of Canada. Lesley received B Level Certification for psychometric assessments in 2019, through Yorkville University, to be able to administer and interpret various assessments relating to personality, skill, aptitude, career thoughts and much more, in order to better assist in a client’s job search journey. Lesley is also a Level 1 Personality Dimensions Trainer.
In our local community, Lesley started the Brockville Butterfly Run in 2018 to assist families who have suffered through pregnancy and infant loss, after the loss of her daughter, Clementine, in 2017. Through this work, the run raised funds to purchase a CuddleCot for Brockville General Hospital (BGH), which allows families more time with their lost loved ones. Over the last 2 years the Lesley and the Brockville Butterfly Run has teamed up with QueenCare to help bring additional support to Leeds and Grenville for loss families. We have started a monthly support group, created a comprehensive brochure that is stocked at local Doctor's offices and BGH, and created loss kits to be given to out in the ER and radiology departments. She has also been a voice in training staff at BGH in handling and supporting mom's and families through these losses as well as training other workplaces on the return of staff members after a loss.
Lesley continues to volunteer with her eldest daughter's school as the Chair of Parent Council.
