Kristin Bennett
Director (2021- )
Kristin Bennett is the current Chair of the Brockville Young Professionals Network (YPN), a role she has held since 2022. Her journey with the organization began in 2021 when she joined the board as a director, motivated by a desire to reconnect with her hometown and give back to the community that helped shape her. Since then, she has played a key role in fostering networking, professional development, and community engagement for young professionals in the Brockville area.
Born and raised in Brockville, Kristin has deep roots in the community and a strong commitment to its growth and success. She graduated from Carleton University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, a field that helped her develop a deep understanding of people and their behaviors. After completing her undergraduate studies, Kristin attended St. Lawrence College in Kingston, where she earned a diploma in Human Resources in 2012. After several years working in HR, Kristin decided to change course and pursue a career in accounting in 2014.
Today, Kristin is a valued member of MNP LLP, a leading national accounting, tax and consulting firm. She has been with MNP’s Accounting and Assurance Group since 2017, where she has gained significant experience working with local private companies, non-profits, and individuals. She specializes in financial statement audits, review engagements, corporate and personal taxes.

In 2020, Kristin earned her Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and was promoted to Manager in 2022. Her dedication to her field and her clients has made her a valued member of the MNP team, and she also plays an active role in mentoring junior staff members and CPA students. In 2023, Kristin was honored as the Young Professional of the Year by the Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce, a recognition of her professional achievements and commitment to her community.

As Chair of the Brockville Young Professionals Network, Kristin is passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for like-minded individuals. Kristin’s commitment to professional growth, community development, and making a positive impact is reflected in her ongoing leadership of the Brockville Young Professionals Network. She hopes to continue to grow the YPN and provide opportunities for young professionals to connect, learn, and thrive.

When Kristin isn’t busy with work and volunteering with the YPN or other local organizations, you can find her spending time with her family and friends, reading, or spending time enjoying the St. Lawrence River.
